The Society for Strang Studies
founded in 2000 to facilitate research into the life and accomplishment of James Jesse Strang

what might the future hold for
the Society for Strang Studies?

The three Beaver Island conferences have generated a lot of enthusiasm about the Society for Strang Studies. A number of projects have been suggested, ranging from the preparation and publication of books and articles to the performance of a series of plays about Strang, and even to the establishment of a Center for Strang Research, complete with a part-time archivist and a fellowship program. Nothing on this order has been attempted, although the SfSS plans to have a smallish book available for sale next summer, containing the texts of the papers presented at the Big Man Dead conference.
